Laughter, fun and games

By Bride and Groom 27 May 2016

Laughter, fun and games are enduring memories Tania and Lachlan will have of their wedding day. Paper cranes lined the aisle, guests enjoyed lawn games after the ceremony and the couple was showered with paper planes in place of confetti — all reminiscent of a child’s party or fair.

Tania can enjoy her vibrant bridal bouquet for years to come as it was crafted from preserved and balsa wood flowers. She fashioned the boutonniere for the groom and his attendants using thistles, billy buttons and statice.

Speeches and the cutting of the cake happened early at the reception so the night could be devoted to dancing. “A highlight was leaping into Lach’s arms ( Dirty Dancing style) surrounded by our family and friends on the dance floor. My grandpa starting a conga line was also very memorable!”

Vials of vanilla sugar or herb salt were handmade by the bride and given to guests as special mementos of the day.
